Dealing with Dental Emergencies

Dental emergencies come in many forms. Damage to the teeth, gums, or other structures of the mouth can be very serious, but treatments or restorations are often able to ensure full function and aesthetics can be restored. If you or your child experiences trauma, injury, or pain in your mouth, be sure to get in touch with our dental team right away.

What to Do in a Dental Emergency

If you are experiencing a dental emergency, be sure to assess the damage quickly. If there is uncontrollable bleeding, a fever, or a large amount of facial trauma, be sure to go to your nearest emergency department immediately. If the injury or issue does not require immediate medical treatment, call our dental offices as soon as possible to set up an emergency appointment. Control bleeding with gauze and if a tooth has been knocked out, store it in saliva or milk until you can reach our offices.
